David Sparks - President/CEO; Founder
David is an entrepreneur at heart with over 20 years of experience at starting and growing a business from the ground up. David obtained a Bachelor of Science and Administration degree majoring in Management, Finance and Operations from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. David then spent five years in the Financial Services and Insurance industry and has always strived to develop new opportunities with a tremendous passion for detail and an appetite for success. Coupled with a creative mind and the ability to nurture relationships, Global Service Solutions was formed in January 2000. Under the direction of David, the company has continued to grow in size and reputation year over year. David is a true perfectionist and any project he undertakes is done with a passion with clear goals and a non-wavering dedication to customer support.

Ivan Sarembock - Finance Manager

Ivan has an Accounting Science degree from the University of South Africa and a USA CPA certification.  His extensive career has included an audit internship with an international accounting firm, Grant Thornton, and positions as a Financial Controller for a California commercial real estate developer and an Atlanta commercial estate investor. Ivan also brings retail experience having worked in a senior finance roll of a 300 store public company. Ivan has been with the company 5 years.

Merle Sparks - Accounts Payable and Receivable Manager
Merle is a skilled administrator with over twenty years of experience in banking and debtor controls.  Her early career in the South African diamond industry gave her the opportunity to become an experienced salesperson and buyer. These combined positions prove invaluable in her ability to understand all aspects in the fields of finance and banking controls. Merle has been with the company 10 years.

Sandra Akins - Client and Vendor Relations Manager
Sandra started her career in the satellite communications industry as an Executive Assistant where she served as support for senior management in the Engineering, Marketing and Sales departments before moving into the prepaid market. Before joining us, Sandra spent nine years at ComCentral in the Wireless Industry. Sandra has a combined 25 years of experience in the telecom industry and her passion for detail has been invaluable in her support function. Sandra has been with the company 7 years.

Jenny Hofman - Electronic Inventory and Systems Manager
Jenny completed a specialized education that included Oracle and IBM 400 Systems and Advanced Purchasing Management diplomas.  She has over 21 years of international experience in administration and operations. Jenny’s understanding, knowledge and experience with the inventory control system and of the prepaid industry as a whole has ensured us an efficient Just in Time (JIT) Inventory replenishment system. Jenny has been with the company 8 years.

Dan Cappannari - Chief Technology Officer

Dan Cappannari has been in the systems and software development business for over 35 years.  During the 1990's, he was one member of a three-man development team which created the second operating system for Intel 80386 architecture (Unix was the first, and Windows was the third), with contributions ranging from device drivers to implementation of TCP/IP protocols. Since then he has authored transaction processing systems for five companies including loyalty, prepaid, gift and credit transactions.  He has extensive experience in web site, POS system and database design and has been in the prepaid industry for over 10 years. Dan has been instrumental in the development, innovation and efficiency of the company’s I.P.O.D. systems, giving us state of the art processing, reporting and systems controls.

Luis Lezama - Senior Programmer Analyst
Luis has over 19 years of experience in the Systems Development Industry. Luis’ experience includes being in charge of support and adding of functionality to the prepaid embedded application running on LDC’s POS terminals. The Prepaid application was installed in about 25,000 locations selling telephony prepaid services around the world (USA, UK, Canada, Austria, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Chile). Luis has been with the company 5 years.
